The Las Vegas Wranglers® fell Friday night in game three of the Western Conference quarter finals. Idaho leads the best-of-five series 2-1 forcing Las Vegas to win the next two games to advance. Left winger Blair Riley tallied the lone goal for the Wranglers who have dropped back-to-back games to the Steelheads. Tyler Ludwig, Tyson Hobbins, and Evan Barlow scored the three goals for Idaho. Jerry Kuhn turned away 27of 28 in the win for the five seed. Michael Ouzas allowed two goals on 26 shots and was pulled late in the third period for the extra skater. Neither team converted in the second period as the shot count favored Las Vegas 20-19.

Idaho added the empty-net insurance goal at 19:03 of the third period with Evan Barlow’s first goal of the post season assisted by Geoff Irwin giving Idaho the 3-1 win in game three of the Western Conference quarterfinals.
