The Las Vegas Wranglers unveiled today the team’s specialty Movember jersey to be worn on Friday, Nov. 30, as the organization wraps up a month of promoting men’s health awareness with a men’s health expo and a final day of moustaches.
Proceeds from the game-worn jersey auction will benefit the Nevada Cancer Coalition, a non-profit organization that combines state-wide resources to help prevent, early detect and treat cancer. The jersey features a stylized moustache font and a redesigned Wranglers logo sporting iconic handlebar facial hair.
“Events like these help to increase the conversation about prostate, testicular, and colorectal cancer – giving men the opportunity and confidence to talk about these issues more openly and take action for their health,” said Cari Herington, Executive Director at the Nevada Cancer Coalition. “The Wranglers exemplify what makes Las Vegas truly amazing – individuals and organizations stepping up to make a difference in our community – and we cannot thank them enough for their partnership in promoting men’s health.”
In addition to the jerseys, the Nov. 30 game against the Orlando Solar Bears will also feature a men’s health expo with a variety of sponsors and partners aimed at keeping Vegas men healthy. The Wranglers team and front office have been growing moustaches since the beginning of the month as well, and donations can be made to your favorite player by visiting http://us.movember.com/team/503513.
